What we publish

Try Apify is an independent directory for Apify actors. We publish tool pages, tutorials, docs, and comparisons for people who need to pick a scraper quickly and still want a straight answer.

The Apify Store is deep enough that it is easy to lose time chasing the wrong actor. Our job is to narrow that down and explain what looks reliable, what feels risky, and what changed since the last pass.

How we test actors

We do not score actors on copy alone. We run them with real inputs, compare the output, check whether pricing matches the promise, and keep notes on maintenance and breakage.

1. Run the actor with a real query or URL set.
2. Check whether the output is usable, not just technically non-empty.
3. Review pricing, update cadence, ratings, and user counts.
4. Flag weak spots, broken flows, or stale claims in the write-up.
5. Update or pull pages when the underlying tool changes enough to matter.

Why we built it

Web scraping is powerful but confusing. There are too many tools. Too many promises. Not enough honest information.

We wanted a site that tells you which tools actually work. Not generic roundup copy. Not fake certainty. Just a practical answer from people who spend time with the tools.

Editorial policy

We use affiliate links, but we do not sell placement. Revenue keeps the site running. It does not buy a better verdict.

If you spot a stale stat, broken actor, pricing mismatch, or flat-out mistake, email us. We would rather fix the page than pretend it is fine.

• Add a screenshot or example output if you have one.
• We review the issue and update the page if the claim does not hold.
